July 3-4, 2021
After a fantastic stay in the western slope of Colorado, we headed west to Salt Lake City. We spent a night there at Sue and Toni's house, in a wide spot in their driveway. We went down a loose, gravel hill to get to our stopping place, and we didn't think we could back up it on the way out. So, we turned around. The motor home barely fit, and we had to take the storage tray out of the hitch to make it work. We managed to not hit their house or the hill, and then we were able to drive up the hill in the forward direction.
The next day, July 3rd, we headed up to Idaho. Sue and Toni had friends with another home in Island Park, Alan and Kandle, who graciously let us stay on their property. Sue and Toni had their trailer there already, so when we got there it was a full house. We had hookups and cell service, so it was going to be a fantastic stay.
On the 4th of July, we put the boat in the lake. We were able to tie it up at a dock owned by one of Alan's friends, and we could walk to it in just a few minutes. We took it out with Toni and Sue, and they brought their dog, Mollie. Mollie and our dog, Lacey, had the same father. They are both Mini Australian Labradoodles, and a year apart in age. They have a great time together.
That evening, we had a cookout on the deck of their house. We had steaks, salads, and sides, and everything was delicious. We put the GoPro up above us to record the BBQ. After a short time, we forgot about it, and the movie is a relaxing and fun way to join us. It's a 360-degree video, so use your mouse or phone to look around. Our motor home is on the side of the house so you can't see it, but it's over there. It was such a nice evening.
Once the sun went down, Alan took us out on their side-by-side to run around the dirt trails in the area. Then we came back, and Alan and Kandle got on the Segways in the garage. No one wiped out.
It was going to be a great time in Idaho!
